WersiPlayersGroup  'Workshops' are designed with the intention of encouraging all our members to join in and share or contribute ideas and subjects for 'workshops' of a 'Musical' or 'Practical' nature for the pages.

This could be in the form of specific musical interests, knowledge and skills, individual playing techniques, how you use your instruments features, setups for your own favourite songs etc. The list is endless.

Members could ask for 'How To' articles on particular subjects that they would be interested in learning about.  Contributions could range from a single short article to, if they wished, a series of sessions on specific subjects over a period of time.

Each 'workshop' will have the provision for sending your comments or questions to the author. Any resulting information or ideas could then accompany the articles on site or be debated in the 'Group Discussion'. The e.mails are addressed to me with the 'subject heading', I will then pass them to the author for a response.

I hope you will join in with your favourite musical topics and interests at the WersiPlayersGroup 'Workshops'

(Please excuse my humour, The pictures on the workshops denotes if it is a 'Musical' or 'Practical' workshop.)

'An Introduction To Chords'

Presented By - David Gilson

-----------------------

In this article David deals with chord structure and playing alternative chords for the carol 'Silent Night' which creates some interesting sound variations on how the tune is normally played.

He has also provided us with two MP3s that show how the tune can be transformed by using the  alternative chords.

If you would like to discuss more about chords or would like advice on how to arrange some alternative chords for a particular favourite song, please send your request to David by clicking the link below.

Taking a Look At The

 'Expression Crossfade' Feature

Workshop Introduced By - Ken Belton

-----------------------------

The 'Expression Crossfade' feature on the Wersi OAS instruments has always been a favourite and well used feature in my playing.

In this 'workshop' we will start our  exploration of the feature from the very basic operation, to the more interesting and complex uses that the feature offers.

The 'workshop' will take the form of  open pages that will be added to over a period of time.

Members that have also used the feature are invited to contribute their own experiences and ways they have used it in their playing which can of course be added to the project to create a wider perspective and viewpoints.

The 'doors' of the workshop will remain open until we have acquired as much information on the use of the feature as possible. The final project can then be compiled and made into a PDF file as a complete article.

To post any information for the workshop or to ask any questions, please send an e.mail from the link below.
